After earning a PhD (Penn State, 1999) Jim taught film and literature at Georgia State University for 18 years. He enjoyed every class and never envisioned he would one day retire for a new career. When offered to write a story about a street hustler named Chicken Man who hosted a party for the Black mafia that was robbed by gunmen for 3 hours who then escaped…he knew what to do with his experience with and understanding of storytelling.
